So a couple years back, I bid on these two ChrisCraft boats in an online auction. What I thought was going to be fun was rebuilding the seaskiff. I named her Goldfish…seemed appropriate for her color. Since it’s been a couple of years, I decided it was time to start restoring them. When I started getting into the Goldfish, I discovered it was too far gone. She had been sitting for way too many years and parts were missing that was not going to make it worth the time and effort for the value of the boat. I typically look the other way on that and restore them anyway, but unfortunately, this one was just beyond that.
Yes, it’s the S.S. Minnow, lol. What a cool cruiser. There were fishing lures still hanging up on the inside…pretty awesome. Well, this one, yeah, I can restore her, but just how far do I go? I’m trying to decide. Should I do the S.S Minnow or the Goldfish? Which one is first? I think I’m going for the Goldfish. What am I going to build? Stay tuned.
