Custom Bar

Now that I’m waiting on the interior for the Chris Craft Holiday boat to be done, I wanted to do something with the reclaimed wood I saved from it. So, I’m building two vintage boat bars. They both will be weather proof and will be a great focal point around a pool or out next to the lake. The first one is out of the front and one side, the other one is out of the back of the boat.
The first thing I had to do was scale the size down so it would not be as big as a boat. Next, I created the frame from treated lumber and used exterior screws to fasten the frames together.

  1. That bar is pretty amazing. Guessing any savvy ocean coastal pub or side attraction. That’s By the lake of which contains the sale of cocktails and over gloried fishing tales would pay premium for a piece like that. Nice work. Nostalgia can’t be reproduced only resurrected. All fine examples here on Your site. My father was telling me about what you do and how nice the boats were. Gotta say I agree with him really cool detail amazing pieces youve done. Would love to have a sneak peak of how this magic takes form. I’ve resurrected many things in my day but never a wooden boat. Great job man keep it up.

  2. Eric,
Thanks for your interest. I have not sold one to a bar or resort at this point, but I’m in the process now of building one just for that purpose. I hope to enjoy a cold beverage with friends one day when we get to a normal. I’m getting ready to post a video of my storage building where I have most of my boats that I have done over the years. Come spring, I’m looking forward to having an open house.
    Thanks,
    Jack
