I now have the first coat of paint on the sides. I kind of liked the Green Bay Packers’s colors. There’s a lot of damage on the sides from hitting docks and whatever else got in their way.
After sanding the sides, I spent a day filling in all the scrapes and screw holes. The next day, I sanded and the first coat went on.
Just like Christmas – removing the tape and seeing the nice white stripes. It is rewarding. I will have to clean up some of the stripes where the paint bled.
That’s just cool. It is so worth the time it takes for sure. Next, I will lightly sand it and then the varnish gets applied. What do you think?
