It’s amazing how much of the wood bled through the first coat of paint. This paint is specifically for boats. It covers well and is very durable.

It’s time for the stripe down both sides. This stripe is very distinct to Gage-Hackers.

After years of sanding, paint, varnish and everything else that had damaged the sides of this boat plus planks being replaced, the lines were pretty much gone.
So, I had to go off pictures I found of this boat.

After a lot of measuring and patience, I think I have the lines perfect on both sides. I will know for sure after it’s all painted and unmasked.

Yeah, it always happens. No matter how well I think I’ve burnished the tape, paint always seems to seep through. So, I’ve gotta fix it. It’s just the way it works out sometimes.

I think it turned out pretty good. Although, the truth will come out when I get her outside and get a full view of the sides from the front.
