It’s now time to put the top plywood on. It just gives the bar a lot of stability. If you look closely, you can see where I actually mark out the underneath structure on the plywood. So, when I’m screwing into it, I can identify and hit the structure to make it good and secure.

I’m starting to go down the sides now. I had a lot of concern with the sides of this bar after I cut the top structure off the boat. They moved a lot. It was pretty scary. I was definitely worried about having stability. I wasn’t sure how I was going to do it, but putting the plywood on strengthened it up. I’m very happy about that.

Now I’m putting in the base shelf. This is quite a trick because I’ve got to cut the inside boat curvature, then I’ve got to straight line it off the top and then cut the curve on the outside of the board. It gets kind of interesting; it’s a lot of angles.

The plywood on the top deck is definitely making the whole structure substantial enough should I have a dance party on top of this baby when it’s done. Not that I’m encouraging that.
