Now that the top is striped and has been lightly sanded, it’s ready for the next coat of varnish. The sides needed to be sanded and I added filler to the imperfections, but now I like the distressed look.

It sanded out nice and smooth and I’m still liking that look, just not sure which way to go. Now to start on the bottom.

The sides have one more coat on them. I use an exterior paint on the sides and bottom for longevity. So, this will hold up for years.

That bottom is really fun to paint. LOL. You have to lay down and crawl around it. It’s good that I have a creeper to help me move around the boat and yes, you can spill paint along the way. Now I need to finish up the bottom base.

One more coat of varnish on the top and this is looking nice. I just need the bottom finished up with a couple more coats of paint on the waterline and this will be done.
