Just one surprise after another

So, I started removing the many layers of paint.

Gage Hacker Paint Stripping

I use a heat gun to remove the many, many layers of paint.

After removing the layers of paint, I start to see an image in the underlying coats of paint; something in red and it definitely showed marine at the end.

Gage Hacker Top Deck Stripping

Removing the paint from the top deck was especially hard due to the grit that was added to allow people to stand on it and reduce slipping.

As I’m stripping the side, some images start to show up-you can see the light pink markings, which were actually letters.  I wrote them down and what I thought it spelled out. The only word that was clear was marine at the end.

Gage Hacker Old Lettering Underneath

I can make out most of the letters but one it spelled out MIN OLA MARINE. What was the missing letter. I never heard the name until that night looking on the internet I found Mineola Marine. So I called them and yes it was one of their old boats.
