I have cut out round circles simulating the gauges. I’m trying to get a layout down before I move forward. I definitely don’t want to drill a hole in the wrong spot on the dash.

Yes, I even look at the view with a steering wheel. You have to sit in the seat to see the gauges. It’s pretty important to keep an eye on the water temperature, oil pressure and things of that nature.

I’m starting the top grout…the white lines on a top deck. I sand them smooth and then put the white on top. Years ago, they actually used bath grout on them and on the joints. Of course, they didn’t last very long with the vibration of going across the water or even trailering them around the streets. Especially now in Illinois.

Here I’m double checking the fit of the shifter box and how it feels on the seat compared to the steering column and things of that nature. I make sure you can shift it forward and reverse easily and comfortably and not interfere with the steering wheel. Looks like it turned out pretty good.
