After getting the top all sanded down nice and smooth, I need to fit the wooden door and all the side planks.

The door was a piece of cake. It went in easy. The side planks are a little more work. I have to cut each one to fit, which takes a little bit of time. They have brass screws that will be exposed for easy removal. This is for access to the wiring just in case there’s a problem in the future.

I even cut the seats to fit at this time. I have to allow for the foam and the seat covers. This is a little time consuming with all the angles. After I have them cut, I will stain them to help seal the wood from moisture before they are covered.

Now I’m double checking the front compartment to make sure everything fits and is ready for the next step. I’m even checking the windshield frame. I have cut it down six inches. It was just way too high for a wind screen and just didn’t look right.

I’m even making drink holders. I’m not sure if I will install them, but they are ready if I do decide to use them.
